Meet Chef Julia Johnson.

Julia has a bright and energetic personality. She keeps spirits up in the kitchen, and is a great organizer. When closing up, she pushes the kitchen to be as fast as possible. “Let’s get out of here by 10:30!”

Tell us a bit about yourself and how your cooking journey started!

My love of cooking stems from my upbringing; cooking together was a large part of the family dynamic growing up, and even after working as a software developer, cooking remained a large part of my life. My career in professional kitchens started in June 2021, when I joined the team at Vintage Wine Bar. My focus at the beginning of my career was on bread, but influences from Vintage, Dante’s Woodfire Pizza, and Doctor Kustom all expanded my culinary horizons.

What is your biggest pet peeve, food related or otherwise?

People who walk slowly.

What is your DND alignment?

Chaotic Neutral.

What is your favorite restaurant/meal in Tulsa?
